Kate Lloyd is a composer of bespoke production music for a variety of moving image media and an electronic music producer under alias Kloyd. Based in London, she is starting to make waves receiving numerous airplay features on BBC Introducing, gaining recognition as a notable up and coming electronic producer. Her first single ‘Balearo’ was immediately picked up by the BBC at the end of 2017 and later published with Vinyl Moon in LA. Her latest singles ‘Aperture’ and ‘Glow’ have been praised by the BBC once again, which lead to a special live performance and interview on BBC Introducing.
Kate graduated with First Class Honours in Music Production at Leeds College of Music and was awarded a full scholarship to study a Masters in Music at the University of Leeds, gaining a Distinction and a certificate of commendation for outstanding achievement. She has since composed music for TopGear, John Lewis and McLaren and has worked as a technical producer, sound engineering for live broadcasts across BBC Radio 3 output.
